The “Atacama” desert and the “Altiplano”
The “desert of deserts” is an enormous plateau (six times the size of Belgium) located just below the Tropic of Capricorn. With less than 5 mm of rain per year it’s deemed the most arid desert in the world. Temperatures can be around 0ºC at night and rise to 30ºC during the day, in winter and in summer. Voir Plus |
